The picture was taken in 1945 of Alfred G. Pudvah (aka) Jerry Pudvah who was a "boot" at Sampson. He arrived Feb. 25, 1943 for his basic training of 10 weeks. From there he was assigned to the USS Monterey - CVL 26 and saw action in the south Pacific for 18 months. |
