I'm in my 81st year and can't remember where I left my toothbrush, but the past is coming in crystal clear.

When I enlisted in the USNR in 1945 the war was still on. I was called to take my physical. Part of the physical is urinalysis There was a long trough with running water and they gave you a paper cup. I stood there and could not get a drop. What seemed like an eternity the guy next to me said pass me the cup and filled it half way and I was on my way.

After the physical they took us to a large room to be sworn in. an officer came in and went to the front of the room. He said ,raise your right hand and repeat after me, I your name, and the guy next to me said I your name. I couldn't stop laughing thru the whole swearing in.
